2005 Conference Recap
March 19, 2005 (The Feast of St. Joseph) was a tremendous day in the Archdiocese of Boston. The weather was sunny and crisp, despite forecasts of rain earlier in the week. Boston College High School turned out to be a tremendous place to hold the Conference, with the spacious McNeice Pavilion to host the Conference and the beautiful new foyer for the registration and exhibitor tables.
Some highlights:
- Over 2,200 attended the event! This far exceeded initial hopes for 500 men!
- 99.5% of men responding to our survey said they'd be back in 2006 - bringing friends!
- Over 1,000 men experienced the Sacrament of Reconcilation - some for the first time in decades!
- Over 80 priests turned out to hear Confessions and experience the day! Thank you to our priests!
- Our speakers, Jim Towey, Fr. Larry Richards, Tom Monaghan, Fr. Philip Merdinger, Jo Tango, Brother Patrick Reilly, Antonio Enrique and, of course, Jim Caviezel well all very enthusiastically received.
- We closed the day with the celebration of Mass led by Archbishop Sean O'Malley.
